Indians of Humboldt and Siskiyou Counties : photographs, ca. 1880-1895.

Included are some 23 prints of the Hoopa Valley Indian Reservation, the village of Writchpec, and its people. There are 5 prints of the White Deerskin Dance. There are 10 prints of the Siskiyou Indians and their village of Cah-te-Main. Some people are identified by name, Kah-hah (Hoopa), Tommy Bob (Klamath River Indian), and Phoebe (Cah-te-Main). Finally, there are 24 prints of artifacts, with good descriptions of materials. Only two prints do not pertain to the native peoples; one the cutting of a coast redwood, and the other of Stephen H. Meek.
